I'm always looking for movies set in the Mediterranean & the Riviera and this one with Benoit Poolverde (probably best known to the USA from Man Bites Dog) about a group of friends on vacation who hook up with a large-living acquaintance in the resort town is pretty good . . .

Les Randonneurs offre exactement ce à quoi on s'attend : quatre Parisiens partent en randonnée avec Benoît Poelvoorde comme guide et forcément ce dernier s'excite, hurle, crie, râle et enchaîne les punchlines comme des perles, le tout mis en scène par Philippe Harel, qui tente deux, trois choses intéressantes. Karin Viard et Philippe Harel sont parfaitement pénibles, Vincent Elbaz joue avec Benoît Poelvoorde à celui qui en fera le plus et Géraldine Pailhas est...là. Ne durant bien heureusement qu'1h30, Les Randonneurs se termine juste avant de tourner en rond et c'est là une de ses plus grandes forces.
