This movie deserves to be a monument to horror series, not Psycho

According to the director, Henri-Georges Clouzot, "I sought only to amuse myself and the little child who sleeps in all our hearts, the child who hides her head under the bedcovers and begs, 'Daddy, Daddy, frighten me.'" Clouzot does it, all right; his Grand Guignol techniques are so calculatedly grisly that they seem silly, yet they succeed in making one feel queasy and sordid and scared. Some people may feel too queasy to find the film really pleasurable. Pauline Kael review.

i dont know but i predicted the edning before 20 minutes of it and i was not suprised.....its seems that very much mystery movies you grow inside of you.... i want to say that: Dont guess what is about in a mystery film or what else just sit and enjoy like the (prestige)= ~we like to fool ourselfs dont try get the trick just let you self get tricked~ i made this mistake in this film but yet is a master-piece

I just uploaded properly synced subtitles for this movie.

Great film, love the ending of this one, and how it make you feel and intrigue...

InterestingFact: the police inspector character influenced Peter Falk to create the lieutenant Columbo's character.

Timeless classic "film noir" ever!
