Overall somewhat entertaining. However the plot jumped around until halfway, when it started to make sense. Supernatural is not usually for me, so perhaps others will enjoy it more.

Although effective, the plot here is much less

Although effective, the plot here is much less credible than the first installment. The killer here is not a lonely madman, but a well organized diabolical sect that seems to have existed through centuries. Even if you accept that this conspiracy can exist in the XXI century, it's very hard to believe that it can run undetected for so long in a small provincial town where everyone knows everyone. Yet this movie is faster than the first one and still maintains the dark and folksy atmosphere with its visuals. It makes for a good entertaining.

It's the second part of Baztan trilogy. It's much better than the first part, "The Invisible Guardian". Still though, the same problem persists with the main protagonist who is the lead detective. She is unconvincing, incompetent, whiney, unlikeable, and annoying. Other than that, the story is progressing well and coming together, which is a huge improvement from the first part which was below average. As with the first part though, the cinematography is good. Hopefully, the third and final part, "Offering to the Storm", will be as good as this second installment or even better.
