Plot summary

When a childhood friend from Miami gets killed after he comes to warn of encroaching drug gangs, Baaba moves to Miami and teams up with a local officer to bring down the criminals.

I originally thought it was a TV show

I originally thought it was a TV show, although the quality of the movie was not up to par, I did enjoy the action, Omar Sy is a good actor and he had decent chemistry with Luis Guzmán. Overall it was enjoyable.

This is a terrible movie. Very bad acting

This is a terrible movie. Very bad acting, dialogue, storyline, and plot. It's very predictable and not really funny. It got boring very quickly too. It could have easily been at least 30 minutes shorter without affecting the movie at all. Overall, it's a poorly made, stupid, and lousy movie.

A French Take on Beverly Hills Cop

Belleville Cop is the French version of the classic buddy cop genre. Omar Sy brings charm and energy to his role as Baaba, giving the character a lively presence. However, the film overall is let down by a clichéd script and predictable plot.The action scenes aren't particularly impressive, and the humor often falls flat. All the promotions and buddy cop vibes had raised my expectations, but the film didn't deliver. Omar Sy's charisma carries it somewhat, yet there were plenty of moments where I found myself bored.In short: A bit entertaining for buddy cop fans, but you need to keep your expectations low.Rating: 4/10.
