Plot summary

Now a shattered mind lurking in cyberspace, Jobe plots a return by hijacking a global VR network and rebuilding himself as something far beyond human. As reality starts to glitch, a small group races to stop a digital god who no longer needs a body.

Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace is one of

Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace is one of the rare sequels that made me appreciate the original more. Nearly everything that worked before feels absent here, replaced by a story that is confusing, poorly executed, and difficult to care about. One of my biggest issues is the plot, which feels unfocused and all over the place. The development never builds momentum, and many scenes come across as more frustrating than entertaining. The recasting also makes it harder to connect this film to its predecessor, as the continuity feels disconnected from what came before. The movie aims for a larger sci-fi spectacle, but the result is a messy experience with weak storytelling and very little emotional impact. By the end, I was left wondering how such an interesting concept could be handled so poorly. For me, Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace is a genuinely bad sequel and one I can't recommend. I rate it a 1/10.

I quite enjoyed the first one but this

I quite enjoyed the first one but this just isn't that great. Only one person from the first film was in this because they had the right idea of avoiding this. Sometimes it can be entertaining but I prefer the original.

Not as bad as everyone makes it out

Not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I find it to be an enjoyable film with some great characters, interesting story and great casting choices of Patrick Bergin and Matt Frewer. However, the story felt like it was written as "Max Headroom The Movie" or something and New Line said, "Let's make it a sequel to Lawnmower Man. Not to mention, the film is a PG-13 Sci-Fi sequel to an R-Rated horror classic, never a good sign.
