I like Sorrentino's way of film making. This is not his best piece but it was good, not super. We meet the weird, ugly old loanshark that lives with his mother in a apartment that look smelly. He falls in love with a stunning girl he shouldn't fall in love with. Naturally this is a interesting plot with huge room for playful solutions. This film is like a weirder, italian version of something the Coen Brothers could have come up with. I never felt it was superfunny but it's charming most of it's playtime. Enjoyable film that has some neat production and a great score - Sorrentino surely must have a great taste in music. "My last thought will be for you".
