The Untamed is quite an original and compelling

The Untamed is quite an original and compelling film. An interesting exploration of human sexuality against a backdrop of rural Mexico, with science fiction and body horror in the mix. There are hints of Lovecraft with a creature that descends in a meteorite from space, although the prudish author from Providence would have never approved of the graphic sexual pleasure the creature delivers to its “victims.” Enough is left unexplained to maintain an atmosphere of the weird to the ambiguous conclusion, but there is enough substance to the plot to keep one engaged until the end.
