This must-see film takes place in one of the Paris banlieux (impoverished, rough, immigrant neighborhoods). Isabelle Adjani plays a teacher in a high school for immigrant kids. Suspenseful hold-your-breath drama that sheds light on the plight of Muslim immigrants in Europe, and the near-impossible task of teaching enlightenment values in a context of poverty and extreme cultural difference.

Adjiani does the best she can with the

Adjiani does the best she can with the flawed material. But the character is too illogical for the movie to be any good. Everything that happens is just so damn implausible.
