@JiveSamba, Yes ! Death to false metal!
From director Amando de Ossorio, who also created the “The Blind Dead” cult series.
A treasure of European horror. Exorcist vibes here and there but the obscure Gothic atmosphere reigns supreme. Death to false metal.

As a big fan and collector of sleazy horror, I kind hate to say this: I owned (and carefully kept) a crumbling VHS copy of this film from the early 80s. Not sure where I got it--I think it was some mom-and-pop video store having a fire sale as they disappeared forever. Anyway, at some point not too long ago, I saw that the flick had been uploaded somewhere in digital form and decided "Hey, I have that old VHS on my shelf of oddities--I'll watch it again!" And...wow, unlike Ossorio's Blind Dead series, this one is pretty much a massive stinker. The child actor is...so tiresome, ugh...and that really kind of ruined the whole affair for me. And the "old lady" makeup is amateurish. Alas, it has NOT stood the test of time (for me anyway). But I remembered it as being so much better...ah well.
