Plot summary

TV MX, the most powerful Mexican Television Corporation, discloses a scandalous story involving Governor Carmelo Vargas in serious crimes and illicit business. Governor Vargas worried about his political future, decides to clean his image and negotiates a billionaire secret agreement with the owners of the TV Corporation. Carlos Rojo, an ambitious young news producer, and Ricardo Diaz, TV network star reporter, are responsible for making a dirty campaign to change the image the public has of the corrupt Governor and make him, at any cost, a political star and a great presidential candidate. Mexican Television believes that democracy is a farce and has already placed one President... Will they do it again?

This is a great movie that analyzes the political corruptness in Mexico and its ties to the media. Although most of the events seem like they are a dramatic fictional film, most of these events happened in Mexico. The film also explores how media has become a mechanism to keep viewers entertained, rather than informed. Each of the aspects the film explores brings the viewer closer to understanding how much of an influence your selected news sources and the monopoly taken in media have an impact on your views of the world. No matter where you are from, this movie should be important to watch to understand the world you are part of.

It reminded me of the corrupt tv station

It reminded me of the corrupt tv station relationship with the socialist governments from 2003-2014 in my birth country of Brazil. Any similarity is not a coincidence.
