Plot summary

The head of a failing French family thinks that fate has smiled down on him when the daughter of a wealthy man agrees to be married to his son. The daughter and her aunt then travel out to the French countryside to meet with the family, unaware that a mysterious 'beast' is stalking the vicinity.

Exactly what it says on the tin, except

Exactly what it says on the tin, except with the inclusion of really graphic footage of copulating horses. It's lavish, sumptuous, exploitative, titilating, repulsive and disturbing. I expect this film would be more famous if it hadn't been released in the same year as Salo.

Even as open minded as I am, this

Even as open minded as I am, this was not interesting or good. The plot could be written on the back of a match book, the acting is amateurish and visually there is nothing original here.
