SeijunSuzuki, director of Branded to Kill, Tokyo Drifter, Gate of Flesh, Princess Raccoon, Pistol Opera, Tattooed Life, The Bastard, and Story of a Prostitute, delivers Detective Bureau 2-3: Go to Hell Bastards. The storyline for this picture is very interesting with some great shootouts, fascinating characters, and a solid script. The acting was as you'd expect for the content and Jo Shishido played the main character well. "You didn't have the guts to kill me in front of the cops?" I grabbed this old school crime drama off Netflix and was hoping for a worthwhile action flick. This was pretty good and I enjoyed it. It reminded me a little of Street Fighter. This is worth watching, and I do recommend it to fans of the genre, but I wouldn't add it to my DVD collection. "The police have set up a special investigation unit..." Grade: B-
