Plot summary

Overlong, and Nakadai killing throngs of samurai, clearly in his 50's, by himself, becomes beyond ridiculous, but I'd follow Gosha anywhere, and this is his bread and butter.

You always hear about Kurosawa but you never

You always hear about Kurosawa but you never hear about Hideo Gosha. WTF? That's kind of like a film school that raves & drools over Coppola & DePalma but then acts as if Scorsese never existed. (Ithaca)
