The portrait of Janusz Korczak as a single

The portrait of Janusz Korczak as a single minded caretaker of these orphans is really powerful. Every time he's asked or tempted to equivocate, change tactics, compromise, or even save himself Korczak refuses. He'll do everything for these kids and he won't do anything else. He'll walk hand in hand with them into hell itself without blinking. This movie likely inspired certain choices made by Spielberg with Schindler's List, but I genuinely don't think you can say he "ripped off" Wajda.

A haunting and powerful film of a true

A haunting and powerful film of a true hero of the Holocaust who doesn't seem to get the world wide recognition that he deserves. He was protective of his orphanage children and was willing to sacrifice himself for the opportunity to save them (if one existed)
