Plot summary

Romantic comedy taking a lighthearted look at a wedding planning business run by a Honolulu mom and three daughters from three different dads. Triple-divorcee Miriam is having her own lack of luck in love, her eldest daughter Lily heads home after rejecting her boyfriend's marriage proposal and her two half-sisters are running the business into the ground.

A terrible title but all in all a

A terrible title but all in all a very sweet, harmless little film. Only a couple of the cast are recognisable but they all perform fairly admirably. Not amazing by any means but a pleasant enough way to spend an hour and a half!

Adorable, funny, sometimes difficult to watch

This is a pleasant enough movie, though I didn't like a lot of the characters. I liked Kai and I liked Twinny, but that's it. Lily is kind of hard to take. She's quite independent and just doesn't have the personality that appeals to me. Hoku is demanding and quirky and wears too much makeup. She doesn't do much for me either. But I'm describing how I feel. I think both characters will appeal to others in their own way.The leading actors do a good enough job, I suppose.There is a sad scene where Hoku's father leaves for good and this upsets the girl a great deal. Lily has no sympathy, saying Daddies are not supposed to stay around.Chris Taloa does quite a good job in the scene where as Roy he finally reveals what has been going on in his life.There is lots of good music, some of it connected with Hawaiian culture.It's a cute movie that can get serious, and probably appropriate for family viewing as well.
