Plot summary

Everyone's favorite yellow canary unexpectedly becomes next in line for the crown when the queen of an island paradise disappears. His Little Highness’ entourage includes motorbike daredevil Granny and sly Sylvester, whose allegiance is tested when he uncovers a sinister plot to eliminate Tweety for good.

This is a fun, modern, and hilarious take on Sylvestor and Tweetie! It was great to see these characters out of the house mixing it up in an exotic locale with new characters.

King Tweedy defied my expectations for a kids

King Tweedy defied my expectations for a kids' movie. More entertaining for adults that I would have expected. A clear narrative arc and sense of story-- kept the children entertained and laughing out loud. Quite a bit of that old school slapstick humor the parents' grew up with-- so nostalgic for the parents and actually feels kinda fresh to kids who didn't grow up with Tom and Jerry or Bugs Bunny. A good message about chosen family and blood family-- supporting one another despite differences. Lots of nods to the adults in the room -- memorable is one character's off hand discussion of the real relationship dynamics behind Rick Springfield's "Jesse's Girl." That moment had me laughing out loud (and I'm not a laugh-out-loud type person).
