Katherine Ryan is a bright, educated Stan up comedian. Her special is watchable. Not particularly controversial, but also not particularly funny. I did not hate it but didn't love it either.

Katherine's special has a seamless flow from bit

Katherine's special has a seamless flow from bit to bit and the most careful balance of serious and absurd topics. Her callback work is perfectly spaced and timed. She truly knows when a joke has the power to resonate, but is so eloquent with the finesse of storytelling that nothing is beating the audience over the head. This is something quite lacking in the recent specials of people who would probably be considered her superior in comedy. I was so pleasantly surprised by how spectacular this special is when it was recommended on Netflix, and I in turn recommend it to all of my friends looking for hilarious, aware, and empowering female comedians. Five stars!

Super good performance in "Katherine Ryan: In Trouble" and very good material. I give it a B, next time you're in the mood for a movie, this one won't disappoint.
