Plot summary

Arun finds himself caught up in a crime that he has no connection to whatsoever. Following his roommate's advice, he attempts to cover up the situation with cleverness. Will he be able to extricate himself from this predicament, or will he unwittingly reveal a much larger conspiracy than he ever anticipated?

Kannai Nambathe - 7/10. In comparison to Udhay's

Kannai Nambathe - 7/10. In comparison to Udhay's last film, Kalaga Thalaivan, this is a better movie. The main issue though is that the director tries his darnedest to make a highly confusing storyline. And it has so much twists and turns, but the annoying thing is that certain things are glanced over and that there's some plot holes here and there. The constant jumping of timelines and flashbacks are also a bit annoying. The one thing I will give the film credit is that it does feel mysterious for the most part. It does the whole North By Northwest thing of having a reluctant hero thrown into a bad situation. Though its entertaining, and nice to see some 00's stars getting some shine, this movie is just okay in overall production. Entertaining with some flaws!

What starts off as a promising crime thriller

What starts off as a promising crime thriller, ends up being a layer filled onion that doesn't have anything at its core because of its sloppy screenplay and poor character development.
