Plot summary

I’m done watching all this excessive male on female violence. Why is that the only way we can really understand if someone is a bad person? Dougie Hauser’s character didn’t need to be physically violent. He could be end boss without it all. I suppose they had to come up with exciting ways to add minutes like the vacuum cleaner. Where were her lips? They'd be all flapped up in there. We’ve all done it. Anyway, he could have used his leverage to get her kid. As soon as dad started walking and showering I was on team Mario. Feckless criminal protecting his princess from evil.

Proof that an excellent and fun concept is not enough if you have a bad script. This is a very cool idea that could have been a great movie in better hands. Love Kyle Gallner who always delivers and makes the best out of the clunky dialogues. The direction is passable and basic but the story takes a deep dive half way through with massive plot holes and ridiculous twists. If only they kept it a little more realistic and made the villlain less dumb, it would have worked. Anyway will watch anything with that actor, he's got that old school 70s 80s charisma.

Kyle Gallner great in split decision

Nick (Kyle Gallner) has an anger issue. He is about to propose to his girlfriend Mel when he overhears his waiter making fun of her. He beats the guy senseless and goes to prison. Upon release, he tries to reunite with Mel, but his parole officer Chester (Shawn Ashmore) has other ideas.Kyle Gallner is great. He has an internal intensity that explodes on the screen. Shawn Ashmore sometimes does an evil turn and he's good at that. The girlfriend could be better. This is a borderline case. I'm going to give the split decision to Kyle Gallner.
