Plot summary

When a supernatural pit worshipped by a remote community in the woods demands a new blood sacrifice, a young woman struggles to find a way to survive as the pit lashes out in anger.

A young woman (Lauren Ashley Carter) is chosen

A young woman (Lauren Ashley Carter) is chosen as a sacrifice, her face being sculpted on a jug by the local potter. Hiding the jug is the beginning of her troubles. Appalachian folk-horror with some great atmosphere and tension. It does suffer from low budget restraints and the polish that would make this a high recommendation from me. It's weird and Carter is talented and able to anchor the film. It also features the horror genre's best friend, Larry Fessenden.
