This was actually a pretty good movie and unique in that it was really a sci-fi movie with mostly gay characters. It starts a little slow, but gets more interesting as it goes on.

The plot is awful. It's the classic "face

The plot is awful. It's the classic "face your past to change yourself and become a better person", with a "magical" twist. I've seen it all before, it's flat: the story just goes from point A to point B with not much of a development. There is a tinier narrative, however it's nothing interesting. It was SUPER boring.

Maybe the premise is a little catchy, but

Maybe the premise is a little catchy, but what worked for me was that all foru main characters were so likeable, even "bad boy" Shane! Richard Harmon very much dominates the film. The main song "Crash" (with the "Listen Now" lyrics" is of the kind that usually gets into Oscar races (similar to "Let it Go" from "Frozen"). I saw this film the day after seeing "Tree of Life" in Minneapolis, so the sci-fi premise seemed continuous to me.
