Plot summary

WWII has ended and Hanna is still grieving over her husband's disappearance. When the Christmas Comet appears for the first time in 70 years, Hanna is caught in a terrible storm and knocked unconscious. When she wakes up, she's in 2016.

Your description of the film, saying that a man helps the nurse (Candace) discover the true meaning of Christmas and family, etc. is very misleading. The whole point of the film is that *she* helps several people discover those things!

I'm not a big fan of Candyce Cameron

I'm not a big fan of Candyce Cameron Burre but she was very good in this film. I liked the nostalgic and time travel aspects of it but more importantly there is something that happens in the course of the movie that was so incredible to me. Without giving away the plot, a date in the past is mentioned and it happens to be my dad's birthday to the exact date and year! That alone is worth watching this again!
