Plot summary

The Crusades reign supreme. Joachim's habit has become like a second skin. Shrouded in the darkness of the world, his life intertwines with dreamlike experiences and mystical visions. A different and in some ways original film

A different and in some ways original film. I really enjoyed the meditative, definitely a mystical film. although in some scenes you can tell that some voices have been dubbed, as some scenes are also spoken in Latin. However, listening to the dialogue in English is a very deliberate choice because it allows you to appreciate the film's message. Subtitles wouldn't have reached the deepest dimensions of the soul, but the choice to use dialogue, even if dubbed in some parts, was very unique and helpful! The voice certainly reaches the most subtle dimensions. Some dialogue is poetry, mantra, and echo. The photography is stunning, as is the 12th-century set design, as is the editing, which transports you to the various narrative levels between dream, waking, life, death, and resurrection. The music, although it may seem overly present, is actually a parallel story that complements the film. A film that slowly transforms you inside, without even realizing it. thank you

Okay who produces a film and releases it

Okay who produces a film and releases it without a native language soundtrack/subtitles? The english dub was impossible to watch. Maybe I’m just spoiled, but I sure missed the original performances.
