Plot summary

Atop the ruins of war, top commander Jiang Ziya is given the task to banish the Nine-tailed Fox Demon who threatens all mortals' very existence. When he discovers the Nine-tailed Fox's life linked to the soul of an innocent girl, he is faced with a challenging decision: follow the will of heaven or find his own path to righteousness.

Fantastic movie. The fight scenes are literally just transcendent, and I can see philosophical themes behind the main storyline

Definitely more what I was expecting from the

Definitely more what I was expecting from the Fengshen Cinematic Universe but this feels like an isolated standalone when it should push forward a bigger story. There is an epic sense of adventure but it feels pretty forgettable & not terribly bold. The scale of the set design is impressively massive & the high point of this film. The animation has an inconsistent level of quality yet there are still plenty of striking visuals. Some really cool creature design that fits well into this world of gods fighting demons.

Historia original (o al menos acá en occidente lo es), visualmente hermosa, con buen ritmo y entretenida en todo momento. Muy diferente a las películas animadas que vi en el ultimo tiempo, con enseñanzas importantes pero a la vez se siente mas madura. Linda sorpresa.
