Plot summary

Thousands of years ago in ancient China, a man fights against his destiny. He wants another chance to be reunited with his loved one and he gets that chance, in a far away place and a far away time, in modern Finland.

I love Sci-Fi foreign films. I couldn't wait to see this...and this is how I rate a movie if it is good.. I was on Netflix. I turned on the movie 15 times, and I fell asleep 14 times. Frustrated, I turned it on the 15th time after reviewing the non-incredible action, the non-exciting plot, and the non-existing adventure of this film, and I realized...maybe it's the perfect kind of movie to watch when I need to sleep. Its a sleeper. Ugh.

I watched this on Netflix streaming, and I

I watched this on Netflix streaming, and I have to express my great appreciation for Netflix here for enabling me to view a Finnish movie and moreover one that combines Finnish myth and Chinese martial arts. While not a great movie, I thought it was entertaining and, considering its tiny budget, three and a half million dollars, a rather amazing one with a decent story and good acting. If, like me, you're a fan of martial arts movies, believe a country's cinema reflects its popular psyche and are curious about the worldviews of others, you might want to give this one a viewing.
