Rating: 7.1/10 ⭐️ I expected a goofy comedy, but got a super gritty, twisting tale of deception where literally no one can be trusted. What Worked: The director perfectly captures the dusty, rural badlands. Through my traditional lens, this morally grey story works as a solid cautionary tale about the dark consequences of a criminal lifestyle. Vidya Balan is magnetic, and Naseeruddin Shah brings old-school gravity. The music is top-tier and fits the quirky, dangerous vibe perfectly. The Cuts: With so many double-crosses, the middle part really dragged for me while I waited for the actual plan to kick off. The slapstick humor honestly felt out of place, clashing with the dark reality of the scenes. Since everyone is manipulating each other, it was hard to root for a traditional “good guy,” which kept me from rating it higher. Verdict: A twisting black comedy and cautionary tale anchored by incredibly strong performances. Favorite Line: “The heart is just a child.”
