This was a student film (to my understanding) on par with a theatrical indie film. It was great. I do hope these guys make more films, though I have not seen any sign of that. The film is fun, true, adventurous, and beautiful. Up there with "Jeremiah Johnson" in a sense.

given it was a fam made movie it did ok if not well. it felt low budget and was prob made as a hobby but I've seen worse from Hollywood, plus there can never be too many movies about mountain man life. Downsides acting and filmography can be better and historical accuracy could use a good bit of work some scenes were cringy but not unbearable. Again for the budget they had it was pretty good. I say it is a 6 outta ten

The scenic shots and music are good. The acting is mediocre at best. The biggest problem tends to be a meandering story that just seems like a never ending run-on sentence. You literally ask, is it over a dozen times, only to be answered with yet another scene. I grade low budget films less harshly than big budget ones, but I don't give them a complete pass.
