He plots her death - but is convinced

He plots her death - but is convinced she isn't dead - by a cough heard on a live recording. And his mania stems from that cough.

Obviously this is a movie disliked by many

Obviously this is a movie disliked by many, which however I found quite satisfactory as it tries to find a distinction between reality and our imagination. Ben Kingsley is always a great choice for the type of character he plays here. Good acting, good cinematography and good music. I have watched so many wannabe serious movies that I turned off after fifteen or twenty minutes that I have no complaints here.
