Plot summary

An adaptation of Jon Krakauer's best selling book, "Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster". This movie attempts to re-create the disastrous events that took place during the Mount Everest climb on May 10, 1996. It also follows Jon Krakauer throughout the movie, and portrays what he was going through while climbing this mountain.

It was not a bad movie and certainly

It was not a bad movie and certainly stuck to the story, however I thought it was kind of flawed .. would have been better to focus on a smaller set of the characters (it was all these 35-year-old guys with two-week beards and bright insulated jackets, a few were distinguishable, plus the two ladies) .. timeline of the movie did not align with the timeline of the climb real well .. soundtrack was kind of overblown. It did make me feel like it was cold up there. Not the worst way to kill 100 minutes.

I absolutely loved it. The movie is based

I absolutely loved it. The movie is based on a true story. And I love movies that are based on a true story.I do not know how accurate it is but it is entertaining nonetheless. The people that downgraded it are just a bunch of Karens. Go and watch it and enjoy it.

Into Thin Air: Death on Everest (1997) Announced Tragedy (11,719 –26 May 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In the spring of 1996, the experienced climbers Scott Fischer (Peter Horton) and Rob Hall (Nat Parker) organize two expeditions to climb Mount Everest with unexperienced people and dispute who arrives with a greater group. Among the climbers are the writer Jon Krakauer (Christopher McDonald), who wants to write a book about his experience; the New Yorker socialite Sandy Hill Pittman (Pamela Gien); the Japanese executive Yasuko Namba (Akemi Otani); and the Americans Beck Weathers (Richard Jenkins), Andy Harris (Tim Dutton), Doug Hansen (Jeff Perry) and Neal Beidelman (Ned Vaughn). They are warned that if they do not reach the summit until 2:00 PM, they should return to the base wherever or how close they are from the top. However, things go awry when a severe storm arrives and several climbers do not follow the instructions of returning to the base, occurring several deaths in the group including the guides Scott Fischer and Rob Hall. “Into Thin Air: Death on Everest” (1997) is a dramatization of an accident occurred in 1996 on the Everest where several people died, five, in accordance with the movie. It is amazing how people consciously risk their life to reach the summit of Mount Everest and pay US$ 65,000.00 (in 1996) to climb in a tough environment.
