Plot summary

Mona, a failed writer, carves out a life of isolation while caring for her ailing Sikh father but when he has a debilitating stroke her three successful siblings show up on her doorstep determined to take control of the situation.

Donkeyhead is essential viewing for all immigrants and others alike. It is the story of the black sheep of a Regina Punjabi immigrant family. The film is a landmark achievement because it is well written, well directed and very well acted and has a mature theme that is at the same time hilarious and relatable. South Asian storytelling in Canada (and North America) has really reached the next level.
