Plot summary

Two brothers embark on an adventure of a lifetime, a journey deep inside the WW2 tunnels of Gibraltar, to find a lost treasure. Complications arise and what started off as an adventure will end up as a life or death situation to survive.

Noble concept, poor execution. Aside from the decent

Noble concept, poor execution. Aside from the decent performances delivered by Major Cummings (Costas Mandylor) Captain Shaw (Michael Pare) & Josh Frazier (Johan Wickholm) the film has many subsequent flaws. That being said I personally enjoyed the storyline, for the MOST part… Its score is exceptional, it has a late 80s movie feel to it with the teenagers going in to find the cliche lost treasure, drawing similarities to “Stand By Me” & “The Goonies”. The scenes involving Pare and Mandylor were great, with the subtle growing of conflict and division of the ranks, but where the film truly shines is in its second act involving the treasure hunt and the dynamic between the lost relatives in the exotic location. Although the military plot line at times feels stale and staged with the exception of Pare and Mandylor, the final act is interesting and keeps you on your heels with the apparent threat to civilization and the inevitable twist involving Captain Shaw. It’s main issue is most of the film jumps rather sudden and feels rushed, to the point where as an audience member you’re simply not able to feel in moments which seem quintessential to progressing the plot line. It would’ve benefited to have some background to the characters or a development stage. The film lacks in many filmmaking areas, abundantly in its contrasted audio and in its edit, especially in the edit which truly lets the film down with a disservice of not capturing the appropriate shots per dialogue at times. Nonetheless its exterior visuals are stunning, most notably the drone shots done on the landscape, but on the contrary a lot of the camerawork is done shakily which is clearly visible. Continuity is poor and some of the dialogue can be corny, on your nose at times but is redeemed by a few actors. CGI at times can be great, but the lows massively subdue the highs, the extraterrestrial flashback scene is incredibly pixelated similarly to a video game animation and the gunshots are evidently substandard. Overall- there’s no question this was a low budget project following an ambitious script, it shines with its vibrant location, amusing character dynamic and foundational story. However post production fails to deliver in what seems to be an intriguing baseline for a storyline.
