This is called Continuum outside the US, which seems like a much more appropriate title for the subject matter. I wasn't expecting much based on the audience reviews, but I love time travel films and this film actually thinks about it more plausibly than any other film I've seen, taking into account changes in the rotation speed of the Earth to get the target coordinates right. I admit that this film doesn't do anything very exciting or flashy with the time travel, but that's not what the film is about, it explores the idea of what happens to people when time travel goes wrong. I missed the first minute or two when I watched this and went back to see it at the end, and noticed reactions from characters that only make sense having seen the ending. I think the film, writing and the acting deserve more credit than they get.

I think this ultimately suffers from being just

I think this ultimately suffers from being just another time travel movie; a genre that's been done to death. Lacking the style and excitement of Back To The Future, this is a serious, plodding also-ran. Joel's character reacted a bit strangely to situations at times, though Joels acting was okay. Gillian Anderson was great in her role. I didn't click it was her.

Absolutely brilliant movie, great cast and a perfect blend of sci fi and fairytale. I'd 100% recommend it.
