The power of this Italian classic comes from

The power of this Italian classic comes from a haunting and beautiful love story. Concerning the political, the ending is powerful but the rest of the political themes aren’t as powerful as the love story, much unsaid. Still, it is a very strong, beautiful film.

1001 movies to see before you die. This

1001 movies to see before you die. This was a soap-opera based around WW2 with a focus on Jewish Aristocracy. It was entertaining, but ultimately not one I need to see again. It was full of cheese and melodrama. It was on youtube.
