Plot summary

A powerful, intimate portrait of three women living in the same house during different eras who all face unplanned pregnancies. The vignettes follow a recently widowed nurse struggling to take control of her life in the early 50s, a mother of four balancing raising a family and maintaining a career in the 70s, and a student making a difficult decision with the help of one woman that will change the course of both their lives in the 90s.

This movie is an intimate look into why women's rights and reproductive healthcare choices are crucial for the state to truly remain free. It is heartwrenching, and yet so necessary to show the realities women face where their reproductive health is concerned.

It's an "unplanned pregnancy" movie - but more an abortion movie where Demi, Sissy, and Anne play pregnant women that have different outcomes. Even in the 90s, the media slant towards abortion and morality was huge.

Wow, just finished this movie. Really well done while presenting the dilemmas and complexities women face when dealing with an unwanted pregnancy. Recommend.
