You can see the truth of what I'm saying every time a group of Amazon warehouse workers of all nationalities, races, and genders tries to come together to organize a union, and Amazon uses every tactic, legal and illegal, to try to stop it. Another example is Uber spending $200 million dollars in California alone, to lobby against a law that would have made the drivers full employees with standard benefits. Marx believed that society starts off divided, between the tiny minority who control capital and the means of production on one side, and the workers who produce all of the value on the other. The only way for workers to receive the value of their labor in exchange for the value they produce is to UNITE. Marx would tell you that it's the capitalists and the government they've bought that want the people divided, and that you've been duped. It takes 3 seconds to do the google search and 1 minute of reading to know this.
