Plot summary

A pretty fun low budget horror comedy. The script would have been perfect for an evil dead movie with some tweaks. And I like that the movie got right into it from the opening scene. Give it a go if you haven’t already

The sole survivor of an occult ritual gone wrong (Lyndsay Craine), she is taking into custody by the police. At the station, heroes are made of cops and criminals as the creatures summoned begin to converge on the building. Hidden Gem! My wife says I'm getting to artsy fartsy and that is to an extent true. But we often find films that resonate with both of us and this kickstarter funded film is such an example. It's not highbrow but it's a blast to view. It's a gory and affectionate homage to 80s horror and Lovecraft via The Thing as well. Practical effects are the star. Nowhere near the level of Winston or Baker they're still nice to see. It's a simple setup with episodic moments, self-awareness, and hits the ground running. Recommended

It was a fun movie. Lots of Gore

It was a fun movie. Lots of Gore It's kind of split into two parts. The practical effects were silly fun. I just think this might have been an amateur production? If they would have tightened up. The acting writing and storytelling. With just a little bit more. Sped up realistic action. Cuz there's a lot of action in this. Though they seem to ham it up. I think it would have been actually cult classic. That said it kind of falls short. The twist was good. Some bizarre choices were made. With some of the scenes and how the actual logic plays out. For example the entire movie uses heavy practical effects. The monsters were good silly but good. Then at the end there's a shooting scene where they use pure CG and it just looked horrid. Which with all the blood guts practical effects why not use some squibs. Idk could have been great but still good give it a watch!
