Plot summary

The gang that created Airplane! and The Naked Gun sets its sights on Top Gun in this spoof. Topper Harley is a talented but unstable fighter pilot with an axe to grind: clearing the family name. His mission is to avenge his father and save a mission sabotaged by greedy weapons manufacturers. He also gets involved in a relationship with Ramada Thompson, a woman with an unusually talented stomach. Hot Shots! makes fun of a variety of other films, from Dances with Wolves to The Fabulous Baker Boys.

Sharing a movie like this is all about

Sharing a movie like this is all about the company, and sitting down to watch Hot Shots! with my father in law made it an absolute standout experience. There is something incredibly special about bonding over this specific brand of timeless, laugh out loud comedy. Trading chuckles over the sheer ridiculousness of the aircraft carrier scenes and watching him crack up at Lloyd Bridges' antics added a whole extra layer of joy to the film. It turned a great comedy into a fantastic, memorable memory.

Lloyd Bridges has been in so many movies

Lloyd Bridges has been in so many movies parodies & spoofs. In the film Hotshots he's beyond LOL. Didn't care for the part where insinuated that black cats are bad luck. Other than that it's kind of neat that Ryan stiles & Jon cryer are in this movie. They both starred with Charlie Sheen in the show two and a half Men. Christy Swanson is also in the movie. She starred in a film with Charlie Sheen called The Chase. A lot of the one-liners in the movie. And comedy references were a little obscure. This is a fun family friendly movie. Think that even Tom Cruise would find it hard not to laugh while watching this movie.
