Plot summary

Julia Bedford is a homemaker who's left with next to nothing after a divorce. When Julia finds herself homeless, she begins her comeback and discovers what is really valuable in life.

Better than most of the Harlequin/Lifetime type of

Better than most of the Harlequin/Lifetime type of movies. Julia has a terrible lawyer though.

I didn't have much sympathy for the main

I didn't have much sympathy for the main character, partly because the writing of her downfall was unconvincing: not much of it made sense in terms of how the real world works. Similarly, the movie portrayed overcoming hardship as easy. The protagonist's lying and half-truths to turn her life around were so squirmishly awkward that I wasn't really rooting for her to succeed. Also, I found her failure to connect with those who might help her as inexplicable. That being said, it did pass the time and left me wondering how things were going to turn out. The abrupt ending was OK, but not all that satisfying.

Speaking on Christmas TV films, this one is definitely stellar compared to the others. But other than some good acting, the film itself is plagued by terrible directing and a cringe script
