Full disclosure: I have not (yet) watched this documentary! However, I did want to help set the record straight, the Roman Catholic church ABSOLUTELY helped and assisted the Nazis - ESPECIALLY after the end of WWII - by knowingly issuing Nazi war criminals "new identities" through their control in Rome of the Red Cross. This allowed Nazi war criminals to flee Germany via Austria going into Italy and then out of Rome. After Rome, they had a new identity that was considered completely legit (issued by the Red Cross) so they were free to flee Europe and head for South America. Very interesting (to me at least) documentary about this on History Channel and/or History Vault titled "Hunting Hitler".

Whitewashing... What has catholic church and churches have done in the WW2? Nothing... They made money out of it, so they kept silence and call it a holy silence... What a load of cr@p.
