Plot summary

Holy Hell is the over-the-top, outrageous, sexually-deviant, blood-drenched story of Father Augustus Bane: a priest pushed too far who begins praying to a revolver and hunting down the gangsters who killed his parishioners. In the vein of recent alternative horror/comedies like "Machete" and "Hobo with a Shotgun", HOLY HELL is a modern take on 60's and 70's B-Movie and Exploitation film tropes. The goal of this feature length movie is to break through every limit set by film, taste and reasonable societal behavior: all with anarchic glee.

Nut job at its finest! I think the wisest thing said in the film was, "there's an unhealthy relationship between highly codependent people and wild narcissists". Sad story of manipulation.

So fascinating how far people with low self

So fascinating how far people with low self esteem go to be loved and accepted. A case that sadly will repeat time and time again. Great documentary with powerful message

It's compelling from a drive by car wreck

It's compelling from a drive by car wreck pov, but too redundant. We KNOW what the "big reveal is" (when it comes to crazy cults, it ALWAYS is), so, yeh, it falls flat. This guy's SO crazy he comes off as cartoonish. The one thing that's really astounding is that once revealed, some acolytes actually stayed with him. That said, if he'd have done that to a kid of mine... Let's just say there'd be one less crazy culty around. BUT... in the growing list of "crazy cult collections" it IS entertaining. Just not surprising.
