Plot summary

The deep conversation between a Japanese architect and a French actress forms the basis of this celebrated French film, considered one of the vanguard productions of the French New Wave. Set in Hiroshima after the end of World War II, the couple -- lovers turned friends -- recount, over many hours, previous romances and life experiences. The two intertwine their stories about the past with pondering the devastation wrought by the atomic bomb dropped on the city.

Que manera de hablar de una catástrofe monumental

Que manera de hablar de una catástrofe monumental a través de una catástrofe personal, tiene largas secuencias con voz en off con compleja edición y movimientos de cámara que inclusive llegan a erotizar a la ciudad y ya al final cuando pensaba “y la referencia a los gringos?” jeje, sale un japonés tratando de ligar hablando en ingles… tiene uno de esos finales que te hacen levantar del asiento sin decir una palabra. Se me hace una de esas pelis que influyen tanto que veo su influencia en montones de películas que me gustan.
