Plot summary

In the hip Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook, single dad and record store owner Frank is preparing to send his hard-working daughter Sam off to college while being forced to close his vintage shop. Hoping to stay connected through their shared musical passions, Frank urges Sam to turn their weekly jam sessions into a father-daughter live act. After their first song becomes an internet breakout, the two embark on a journey of love, growing up and musical discovery.

It may come across as a light-hearted movie…

It may come across as a light-hearted movie… unless you’re a father, especially a single father. The daughter-dad relationship that Nick Offerman’s character manages to pull off is one that many of us can only dream off. It’s a lesson in deep-love parenting and sacrifice, while remaining upbeat and true to your heart and your passion. Makes the top 10 of movies to watch when you’re having a bad day as a father.

Boring and predictable to say the least. It is hard to believe this is the best Hollywood can come up with in today's world. These Hallmark Style films are killing the industry.
