Plot summary

Malorie's sister Monica vanishes suddenly. Determined to learn the truth, Malorie investigates with her friend using clues Monica left behind. She becomes convinced Monica's husband, a presidential candidate, caused her sister's demise.

Small talk, big action...

Just my luck, two movies from Maverick Entertainment in one day. This time it was the 2026 thriller "He Killed My Sister", but at least the movie's cover was a massive upgrade for a movie from Maverick Entertainment. But as soon as I saw that ethereal horse galloping across the screen, my expectations to the movie went down several notches.The storyline in the movie, as written by Shannon Washington, put together a fair enough script. It was a watchable movie, though a bit generic. But I have to say that it was a step up from the archetypical Ghetto-Gangsta movies that Maverick Entertainment have been spewing out by the dozens.I actually do believe that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And that was something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances in the movie were fair, again, a step up from the usual stuff you get from Maverick Entertainment."He Killed My Sister" is a good step up in the right direction for a movie made by Maverick Entertainment.My rating of writer and director Shannon Washington's 2026 thriller "He Killed My Sister" lands on a five out of ten stars.
