Gross Anatomy is an underrated late ’80s/early ’90s

Gross Anatomy is an underrated late ’80s/early ’90s feel-good drama with a touch of romance, centered on the grind of medical school. Matthew Modine is solid in an early role, but Christine Lahti steals the film as the tough, standout professor. Daphne Zuniga is not bad here either, as always. Simple, sincere, and easy to watch—a nostalgic look at students struggling to find their way.
