Plot summary
Recently discharged Marine sniper John Stewart is at a crossroads in his life, one which is only complicated by receiving an extraterrestrial ring which grants him the powers of the Green Lantern of Earth. Unfortunately, the ring doesn't come with instructions - but it does come with baggage, like a horde of interplanetary killers bent on eliminating every Green Lantern in the universe. Now, with the aid of the light-hearted Green Arrow, Adam Strange and Hawkgirl, this reluctant soldier must journey into the heart of a galactic Rann/Thanagar war and somehow succeed where all other Green Lanterns have failed.

I fkng love black booties
You ignorant loud mouths only shame yourselves when you open your mouths and give your opinions on things you obviously don't know about. Jon Stewart as a Green Lantern has been around since I was a kid watching JL in the late 90's, he's always been black.
Apparently some people are not aware that John Stewart has been around as a GL for 50 years.
This movie spit in the face of Green Lantern fans. The fact that they made Hal evil for no reason other then to kill him off was upsetting. Sinestro was written out of character, John lacked emotion in his voice. The writing was lazy and poorly done.
