Some scenes could have been cut, even with the good performances. For me, 2 hr 27 min movie is too long, even in the epic war movie genre. For those who don't the history of the Philippines-American war, it may feel slow and it takes a while to get to the battle with the Americanos. I recommend viewers to research the history and biography of Goyo to get a better understanding of the relationships and plot. I applaud the effort and it's worth a watch simply because it's hard to find quality epic war movies set in the Philippines. The first film Heneral Luna was more concise and enrapturing so watch that one first!
