Tried to watch it, but characters and situations are totally unappealing to me. The audience verdict on RT is much more accurate than the 95% from the (few) critics.

Is it basically the same movie as Stephen Cone's Princess Cyd? Sure. But they're both very good.

I really love Emily Mortimer's work, so I

I really love Emily Mortimer's work, so I really wanted to like this film, but, I have trouble when the main character, in this case, Lillian, isn't at all likeable. Add that there was only 10 minutes left and still no redemption had occurred, which meant that what did take place at the end made little sense and didn't gel with all that had gone before it. I was left feeling a little empty, not certain of the point of the film, and wondering if I'd missed something.
