Plot summary

Bizarre sixties fable resembling Romeo and Juliet, but instead of Montagues and Capulets, there are two musical communities, one who like rock and roll and one who like ballads, who become reunited through the love between a couple who love across their grouping. It features little furry puppets called Gonks.

It's a bizarre storyline which in truth is only there to fill the gap between the musical numbers as this feels like a pseudo promo for the bands and artists involved.

I watched this movie in Khormaksar, Aden,in an open-air RAF cinema. The year was 1966, the Radfan were shooting at us, and life was pretty depressing. Watching films was just about the only source of entertainment we had. However, this film was so atrociously bad that some of the audience left before the end. For that to happen it HAD to be appalling!
