Plot summary

Upon arriving at a remote cabin in the redwoods, Kath and her boyfriend find a mysterious younger couple already there — the rental has apparently been double-booked. They decide to share the cabin with these strangers until the next morning, but her boyfriend disappears with the young woman, which sends Kath in a spiral to find an explanation for their sudden breakup — but the truth is far stranger than she could have imagined.

Gone in the Night opens with an intriguing

Gone in the Night opens with an intriguing premise. A couple arrives at a remote cabin only to discover it's already occupied, and before strange disappearances begin to occur. The setup immediately creates questions and tension; however, the mystery is more interesting than the answers. The film spends considerable time creating questions, but the eventual revelations are underwhelming. The isolated setting and quiet, uneasy atmosphere work in the movie's favor. Director Eli Horowitz generates suspense through uncertainty and mystery rather than relying on traditional horror elements. Winona Ryder delivers a strong performance throughout, remaining a compelling screen presence even as the story becomes increasingly difficult to believe. Despite a promising setup and Ryder's performance, Gone in the Night ultimately struggles to deliver a payoff worthy of its premise.

Yeah this movie was pretty bad, not many

Yeah this movie was pretty bad, not many redeeming qualities about it except Winona, also you cant make the entire plotline about aging, and fear of it, staring the two youngest looking 50+ year olds in Hollywood. Really? Winona and Dermot? I don't buy it lol.

Ryder’s acting is horrible in this! What happened

Ryder’s acting is horrible in this! What happened! Shocked how unbelievable she was. This premise is ridiculous, it would never happen in a million years and makes no sense. Execution is just not good overall in this picture.
