Before his head passes away, a crime boss infects his second-in-command with vampirism. On paper this film seems right up my alley. Absurdity (a man sprouting humans from his ears), bloody action, and over the top humor. But I think the tonal shifts and the complete lack of discipline from Miike's direction cause it to fall flat. It's too long for what it is and gets exhaustive. It's chaos without cohesion. Manga logic. I did love the frog.
